How to Get Google Earth on your iPhone if you are not a US citizen

Google Earth is only available on the itunes store for US people with billing address in the US.
Here is a nice hack to trick itunes and get it anyway even if you are not in the US :-)

  1. If you are logged in now in your itunes with your current NON US account , log off/sign out.
  2. Quit itunes. And load it again.
  3. Now go to the app store and click to get a FREE app. It does not matter which one. Just free one.
  4. You will be prompt to login to Itunes store. Now select create a new account.
  5. You need a different email than the one you use for your previous NON US account.
  6. follow the screens, but when you are asked which credit card to use, make sure you select NONE and make sure you select the country as USA.
  7. Change your Country at the top (its in grey) – Please note: you may be thrown OUT of the registration process. Just start it again or login with your new account.
  8. Fill in your fake address in the US (  Apple address works :-) ), and phone number, and thats it.
  9. once you are registered – go and search for Google earth. and download it ;-) .

Important: if you want your App Store application on the iphone to use the new account, make sure you sync your device :)

Guess the world is not global after all. Seems apple is avoiding some legal issues regarding Google earth maps and countries around the world so they limited it to the US store only.
